Join us for Worship!
Worship is the primary speech of God's people.  When we
worship God together, we are a powerful force for the Lord -
enlivened to do a ministry in the world on behalf of Christ.

Interested In EFM?
That's what Bobby and Peggy Saunkeah want to know.  EFM (Education for Ministry) is an
educational program created for layfolks in the Episcopal Church.  It was developed by the
Seminary of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and is intended to give students a thorough
background in the Old and New Testament, Church History, Sacramental theology, and
theological reflection.  Bobby and Peggy are hoping to establish an EFM group at St. Luke's in
September and are more than happy to answer any questions that you might have about the
program.
Yoga Classes Will Continue Through the Summer
Because we've had such a wonderful response to Pat Noble's Yoga Classes, we've decided to extend classes through July
and August.  Even though the class is large, there's still plenty of room in the parish hall for new enrollees.  Classes meet on
Monday and Wednesday each week at 5:00 pm.

Children's Christian Formation:  On the Road with Father John and Randy
An unusual approach for Children's Christian Formation begins Sunday, July 6, in which a number of "road trips" around Ada
are scheduled with Father John and Randy Taylor as co-hosts.  The idea is to get our young people out of the church and into
the world, to talk about the Christian Faith as it relates the world around us and the needs of people everywhere.  Oh yes, and
to have a lot of fun in the process.  Join us on Sunday morning as we depart from the church at 9:15 am.

The Choir is Back!!  And You're Invited to Sing With Us.
Much of the time our Choir lets out during the summer months and returns some time in August.  Not so this summer!  Choir
members are still suiting up and singing, but without the midweek practice.  They meet at 10:00 am on Sunday morning to
rehearse our hymns and then to lead the congregation in joyful praise to God.  This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who
has wished to sing with our choir to do so.   Reading music is not necessary and we'll be glad to find a cassock and surplice
that fits you.  Come join us!

Adult Class Discussing "Christianity for the Rest of Us"
Using the book Christianity for the Rest of Us, by Diana Bass, the Adult Christian Formation Class has begun a
discussion of the first few chapters.  The Adult Class meets in the parish library on Sunday at 9:15 am.  This is an
excellent book written to all mainline denominations (but with Episcopalians especially in mind) that find their congregations
dwindling and in need of change.
