Bishop Edward Konieczny To Visit St. Luke's
The Right Reverend Edward Konieczny, Bishop of Oklahoma, will be with us on Sunday, February 21st, to
celebrate the Holy Eucharist and to confirm and baptize those wishing to become members of the
Episcopal Church. Please mark this on your calendar and plan to be with us for Bishop Ed's annual
visitation. There will only be one service on that day at 10:30 am. A dinner in honor of Bishop Ed and
Debbie will be held following the service.
Valentine's Day Luncheon This Sunday, February 14th
A luncheon served by our youth group will be offered this Sunday, February 14th, at noon, at the First
Presbyterian Church Community Center. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for children. All proceeds
will go toward the Youth Mission Trip to St. Louis in late May. Come and be with us as we support our Presby-palian Youth Group!
Shrove Tuesday Pancakes Just Around The Corner!
For Episcopal Churches everywhere, a tradition before Lent is to have a pancake supper on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Our pancake
supper will be held on Tuesday, February 16, from 5-8 pm in the parish hall. Proceeds for this supper always go to The United Campus Ministry
at East Central University. Join us for this traditional feast!
Ash Wednesday Services
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day period of preparation for Easter. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 17th, at
12:10 pm and 6:00 pm.
Stations and Study on Fridays in Lent
Stations of the Cross, a devotional service focusing on the Passion of Christ, will be offered at 6:00 pm each Friday during Lent. Following this
service, Father John will lead a study on prayer using Henri Nouwen's book, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life. Stations of the
Cross will take place in the nave of the church while the study will follow in the parish library.
